For a small island Guernsey residents are treated to a varied selection of activities. Three exemplary golf courses with the coveted links course at L’Ancresse being the pick of the bunch. Sailing and cruising the wonderful waters around the islands and on to France, is also a pre-requisite for many islanders. The island boasts an abundance of marinas catering for all manner of vessels from luxury Sunseekers to local fishing boats. Horse riding is also popular with many lanes deemed as ‘Ruette Tranquilles’, which restrict traffic to 15 miles an hour. The island also boasts numerous tennis clubs, the prestigious Kings Club and Beauty therapy centre, the magnificent state of the art Beau Sejour Leisure Centre and numerous sports and social clubs.
